ZEUS COMICS HOSTS SIGNING FOR FAKE AP STYLEBOOK, “LET’S BE FRIENDS AGAIN”

DALLAS—Zeus Comics will host Ken Lowery, co-creator of the Twitter feed @FakeAPStylebook and its spinoff book, “Write More Good,” and Curt Franklin and Chris Haley of the hit webcomic “Let’s Be Friends Again” for a signing April 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Zeus is committed to spotlighting great upcoming talent,” said Richard Neal, owner of Zeus Comics. “Ken, Curt and Chris represent some of the best up-and-coming comedy talent working today.”

@FakeAPStylebook, which Mr. Lowery launched with his friend Mark Hale in October of 2009, quickly gained several thousand followers and the attention of national news outlets like “Newsweek” and “The New York Times.” With a team of 15 writers on board, @FakeAPStylebook has been updating consistently ever since, and now boasts over 210,000 followers. Mr. Lowery will be signing “Write More Good,” the book based on the Twitter feed, which released April 5.

Mr. Franklin and Mr. Haley write and draw the webcomic “Let’s Be Friends Again,” which since its inception has gained a large cult following in the comic book world. Mr. Franklin and Mr. Haley also produce a web comic series called “Comics, Everybody!” for the multi-Eisner nominated news site Comics Alliance. They will be signing “Let’s Be Friends Again Vol. 1: Under Pressure,” which collects the duo’s first year of comic strips, along with commentary and exclusive content.

“All three of these guys bring a lot of energy and a lot of creativity to their work,” said Mr. Neal. “I can’t wait to see how the signing goes. Maybe they’ll get into a fist fight?”
