Action Comics #819
Ignore the cover to this issue, because the real story isn't about new villains Sodom and Gomorrah, it's Clark's old Smallville sweetheart Lana Lang. As Superman continues to recuperate from his injuries, Lana decides to give some very frank opinions about his relationship with Lois Lane. Is it bitter jealousy or sincere concern? Decide for yourself, as Chuck Austen continues to send Superman on a bumpy ride, with art by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado.

Gotham Central #23
As "War Games" rages in the mainstream Batman family of books, see how Gotham's Finest deal with a gang war too big for them to handle alone. Detectives Renee Montoya and Crispus Allen may find themselves in over their heads when they run into gang members on a hunting party. Add a costumed freak by the name of Black Spider to the mix, and it's a recipe for disaster. And Jim Corrigan makes another appearance, but is there any connection to his namesake? Greg Rucka's not telling much, at least for now.

The Pulse #5
The conclusion to "Thin Air", and it's a knockout! On the verge of finally exposing Norman Osborn as the maniacal Green Goblin, Ben Urich, Kat Farrell, and Jessica Jones are ready to face him at his door. Things will go from bad to worse to worst, and that's just the first three pages! What began on low heat comes to a blazing finish, as only Brian Michael Bendis and artists Mark Bagley and Scott Hanna can tell it!

Bloodhound #3
One of the best DC books you're not reading! The action really takes off this issue as Clevenger and Agent Bell close in on the metahuman serial killer stalking young girls. This time, his prey is the daughter of Clevenger's old partner, and circumstances conspire to keep our heroes from keeping her alive. As the abilities of the "Bloodhound" and the killer alike become apparent, the clock is ticking, and things are likely to get ugly before all is said and done. Brought to you by Dan Jolley and Leonard Kirk.
