Comics:
Authority Revolution #1
Ed Brubaker helms this new 12-issue series, focusing first on the effects of the Coup D’Etat on the Wildstorm Universe. Now that the Authority has taken over the United States, the rest of the world waits to see what their next move will be. As the team faces the reality of running an entire country, a group of upstart metahumans starts a riot in Philadelphia to overthrow the new government. It’s the far left versus the far right, super powers style! With Brubaker’s run, expect a return to the high voltage storytelling that somehow seemed lacking in the last series, and Dustin Nguyen puts in some of his finest pencilling work to date. If you liked the original Ellis/Hitch and Millar/Quitely runs, you won’t want to miss this!

Mystique #20
Finally, the identity of the Quiet Man is revealed! It’s a little over-simplified to say that nothing will ever be the same, but…nothing will ever be the same! Sean McKeever continues to carry the baton passed on from Brian Vaughan, delivering fast-paced-mutant-double-agent-spy action every month, and this story arc promises to deliver that in full, and then some!

X-men #163
Readers have long been critical of Chuck Austen’s storytelling on the X-Books, but this story, “Heroes and Villains” is proof of his (at the least) more-than-competent skills as a writer. Tables continue to turn, and the question of Juggernaut being a hero or villain is answered once and for all. The team struggles to keep things together after being decimated by the Brotherhood over the last two issues, and a blind Gambit is all that stands between the bad guys and the destruction of the school (again?). Help arrives from all over the board---from an X-Man scarcely seen this past year to one who suffers from no small amount of overexposure to an errant member of the Exiles. This one may actually have it all, True Believers!

Adam Strange #2
The sci-fi action continues, brought to you by Andy Diggle and Pascal Ferry, a team proving to be a perfect combination! It’s Adam Strange’s first solo adventure in years, and he’s up to his neck in trouble. Alien bounty hunters want him dead or alive, the police want him for questioning, and there’s still the nagging mystery of what happened to the planet Rann. Things literally heat up for DC’s signature space hero when he hops a Zeta Beam to Rann to learn the truth, in Part Two of "Planet Heist".

Daredevil #66
"Golden Age", by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev (as if you didn't know), begins a story that spans the history of Daredevil. Before Wilson Fisk was the Kingpin, there was Alexander Bont. Sent to jail years ago, he is released into a world completely alien to the one he remembers. What is his connection to Matt Murdock and the Daredevil? Find out here, in one of the biggest DD stories to date! With Maleev employing a diversity of styles to tell the story in three different time periods, this looks to be one of the team's most visually stunning stories thus far.
