From CBR: TMNT: Jennika puts its eponymous hero in the spotlight, offering a more intense, emotionally turbulent perspective than her tubular counterparts. Brahm Revel brings a lot of kinetic, abrasive energy to the issue's main story, hinting at a rough road for Jennika as she settles into her new Ninja Turtle status quo. Meanwhile, the back-up story by Ronda Pattison and Jodi Nishijima tells a more conventional tale about Jennifer's past and her surprise connection with one of the franchise's most pivotal characters. Readers not overly familiar with Jennika may be a bit lost but there is enough genuine emotion from cover-to-cover to tell a compelling story regardless, while setting up the new character for greater things to come.
